On 15 August 1944, the landing in Provence heralds the Allied victory over Nazi Germany and the liberation of France. For Fernand, a young resistance fighter, this victory tastes bitter. He has lost his former life, his comrades of the Francs-Tireurs Partisans, love… For three years now his life has been ruled by fear and bloodshed. Will he manage to break the cycle of violence? Or will he sink into it?
